Conquering the world one sentence at a time.
Hey my name is Lorraine and I hail from Manchester. I am currently a law student heading into my second year at a top London university.
Experiencing the challenges that first year had to offer, I decided to set up a blog. Mainly to keep up a passion (writing).
So I have two, one is a law blog charting a personal experience through law school. And mainly done to perhaps be able to make a difference in a future fellow law student’s academic journey, as I have been inspired by others before me. You can find it at www.lifeofalondonlawstudent.com
And my second baby is this here blog for my poetry, stories and photography.
I don’t usually like writing these ‘About You’ sections, because it always ends up sounding like a CV for some unknown job application. If anything, if you want to know more about me, you will find me within my work, and my words.
I just love words and the power that they can have, hopefully you will find elements you like in my writing, as I find in the works of others.
What kind of law student would I be without one:

‘What do you do? How do you write, create?’
You don’t, I told them. You don’t try. That’s very important: ‘not’ to try, either for Cadillacs, creation or immortality.
You wait, and if nothing happens, you wait some more. It’s like a bug high on the wall. You wait for it to come to you. When it gets close enough you reach out, slap out and kill it. Or if you like its looks you make a pet out of it.”– Charles Bukowski
